The Story

For years, widows in Kagoma, Uganda, fell asleep fearing that the next heavy tropical rain would wash their mud shelters away. Vulnerable. Exposed. Waiting.

Then, just 60 days ago, we started building.

We launched Brick on Brick this past March with a single mission: replace high-risk mud shelters with durable, permanent, red-clay brick homes.

“Imagine sleeping with the certainty that tonight, your walls won’t wash away. For 20 years, this widow could only dream of that peace. Then, we started building.”

House #1 is complete. Concrete floors poured. Solid metal security doors and windows installed. All for an all-in cost of $2,700, using local materials and hiring local craftsmen to pour strength back into the Ugandan economy.

๐Ÿ”จ House #2 โ€“ Progress

The steel door is installed, walls are up, and we are now raising funds to finish the floors, plaster, and remaining fixtures.

“Proof of concept is a milestone. Repeatable velocity is a movement.”

The Model (Radical Transparency)

๐Ÿ’ง Zero Overhead
$0 leadership and administrative salary. Every single dollar belongs in the dirt, buying bricks, timber, cement, and metal security fixtures.

๐Ÿ“Š Candid Platinum Verified
Enterprise-grade accounting, metrics, and data tracking โ€“ even with zero leadership payroll.

๐ŸŒ Local Economic Loop
100% local labor and local materials. We pump donor capital directly back into the Kagoma economy.

โšก Agile Execution
House #1 was completed in 45 days. Traditional systems often take longer just to clear paperwork.

How You Can Help

โœ๏ธ Strategic Grant Writer Partner

We are actively vetting a results-oriented grant writer. Not just a gig worker โ€“ but a partner who believes in this model of radical transparency and zero leadership overhead. Help us translate this ‘mud-to-metal’ miracle into a funded 10-house pipeline.

๐Ÿงฑ Givers & Catalyst Funders

Every $2,700 delivers a permanent, concrete-and-brick asset โ€“ not just charity. It literally changes a family’s generational trajectory.

Current bottleneck: House #2 needs funding to pour floors, plaster walls, and complete fixtures. Once cleared, our crew can instantly break ground on House #3.

The Long-Term Vision

We have a 17-year relationship with a local pastor on the ground who has spent nearly two decades living alongside, serving, and building trust with these exact widows.

Before Brick on Brick, his previous organizational framework could only find funding to build 1 house per year. We stepped in to provide a high-velocity capital engine to a community network that was already mature, vetted, and deeply rooted.

We don’t build relationships for donor optics. The relationship infrastructure came first โ€“ our bricks are just finally catching up to the need.
